Philip Darko - Director for International Programs
Philip obtained his Master's degree in Business Technologies from the George Washington University, USA after graduating in Civil Engineering at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science & Technology. To help create more preventive awareness during the Covid-19 pandemic in low income communities, he studied and obtained a Certificate in Fighting COVID-19 with Epidemiology from the John Hopkins University. He also holds an executive level certificate in Planning and Design of Sanitation Systems and Technologies from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology.
Philip has grounded his nonprofit career with a strong believe that, no matter where someone was born, and where they live, they should be able to lead a thriving and successful life. He therefore, effectively provides leadership assistance to World Partners for Development (WPD) to ensure 21st Century sustainable programs that impact lives and society. Prior to his leadership at WPD , he worked with ISODEC in Ghana as a Regional Engineer on World Bank and Ghana Government Rural Water & Sanitation Projects. He has also been an active volunteer with service organizations ranging from Rotary International to Red Cross. Philip has embarked on various rural nonprofit projects in program planning and implementation, monitoring & evaluation, training, gender, Water, Sanitation & Hygiene, Rural Microflush Digester Toilets, Capacity Building, Business Management, Innovative Social Enterprise, and many more.
Cynthia Asare Kena - Director of Operations
Cynthia has over 25 years of experience in international development and humanitarian aid in Africa. In a variety of regional and global management and advisory roles with World Partners for Development, Cynthia worked in partnership with civil society, governments, peer agencies and private sector and increasingly became known as a recognized champion for women empowerment and development, gender, and diversity in organizations and programming. Throughout her career, she has focused on the rights of all people, and particularly women, to live with dignity, and realize their potential. With her passion for school children, she devotes her time as an Improvement Support Officer for community schools in Ghana.
Cynthia holds M.ED & M.PHIL in Educational Studies from the Presbyterian University College.
Armon Ahmadjan - Marketing & Communication Officer
As Chief Marketing and Communication Officer, Armon sets the global strategy and vision for World Partners' marketing and communications, working with his team to raise profile, partnerships, grants, and engagement with the organization's key audiences and the public.
Amon brings more than 10 years of experience in communications and marketing across the public, private, and nonprofit sectors. Prior to joining World Partners, Armon worked in various communications roles at Tomorrows' Initiative Foundation, all focused on social and community impact. He is a co-founder of Tommorrow's Initiative, a US based humanitarian nonprofit organization, and has worked in many underserved communities in Ghana, West Africa as a dedicated volunteer.
Armon Holds Bachelors degree on Political Science from the George Mason University.
Itaz Singh - International Volunteers Program Associate
Itaz holds Bachelors of Science in Agricultural Business Management from Virginia Tech. He is the co-founder of Tomorrows' Initiative, a US based nonprofit organization that is empowering the youth for a brighter future. Itaz has a great passion to serve humanity through volunteering across the globe. In June 2018, Itaz and his team raised some founds and traveled to Ghana, West Africa, and built units of Microflush Digester Toilets for some remote rural community schools.
Itaz being so much dedicated in youth empowerment programs, is responsible for managing the design and delivery of World Partners international volunteers program and services.
Edem Nkoako - Program Coordinator
Edem effectively works to support World Partners' programs by coordinating and organizing programs according to World Partners' community programming model. His areas of competency of supporting World Partners' programs include, program planning and implementation, monitoring and evaluation systems, impact assessments, database management, qualitative and quantitative data analysis. Edem also coordinates volunteer schedules and training. He worked as a community graphic designer with Youngstars Consult before joining World Partners.
Edem obtained his Bachelors degree in Computer Information Systems and Project Management from the University of Ghana, Legon.
Nancy Chichi - Finance & Office Administrator
Nancy is a dedicated woman who ensures implementation of policies and practices for the organization and help maintain budget and track expenditures/transactions. As project collaboration is one of the goals of World Partners, she helps build positive relations within our team and external parties, and also support growth and program development. Her strengths lie in enterprise development through business development services such as financial inclusion, value chain development, inclusive business modeling, market linkages, entrepreneurship, and educational programs She has worked with many local NGOs including Women's Vision to advance the status of women & girls in remote communities.
Nany graduated from the University of Cape Coast in education.
